THE MUSEUM OF FINE ARTS, HOUSTON
Redesigning mfah.org
In 2022, we embarked on an exciting journey to elevate the user experience of The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston's website. Taking on the role of content designer, I lead the charge in sculpting a digital landscape where information architecture seamlessly intertwines with our content strategy, bringing to life the vision of our stakeholders.
We got 99 problems...
Our current website lacks the allure to reflect the museum's true splendor and the immersive visitor experience it offers. Not only is its visual design uninspiring, but the grid layout also falls short, hindering the visual organization of design elements, readability, clarity of information architecture, and the foundation for responsive design.
Meeting the Industry Standard
As we curated our vision board, inspiration flowed from the sleek and contemporary designs of our "friendly" competitors such as the Metropolitan Museum, MoMA, and the Art Institute of Chicago. Their modern aesthetic served as a guiding light in our quest for a fresh and innovative web redesign.
